Leading Industry Analyst Firm Recognises QlikTech as an Innovative BI Provider

QlikTech was recently recognised by leading industry analyst firm, IDC, as one of the top 20 worldwide business intelligence software providers.  In a recent competitive analysis report, "Worldwide Business Intelligence 2004 Vendor Shares," Dan Vesset, research director, analytics and data warehousing software at IDC, reports that "QlikTech has seen rapid acceleration of the acceptance of its business intelligence technology. QlikTech's innovative analysis server and query interface have helped the company achieve 90% compound annual growth rate over the last three years and moved it into the top 20 according to BI software revenue."

"IDC continues to see healthy demand for business intelligence tools.  Competitive and compliance forces have placed renewed emphasis on this software market as organisations rethink how they leverage their data assets for improved decision making and statutory reporting," according to Vesset.  "Solutions such as QlikView from QlikTech offer business analysis capabilities to a broader audience, enabling more end users to gain access to query and reporting tools, ultimately bringing the power and benefits of analysis to a wider spectrum of knowledge workers."

"QlikView has been absolutely instrumental in helping all departments to understand the shape of our business.  Operationally, we now have the ability to measure our delivery-to-promise to our customers, which is something we were unable to do accurately previously," said Stuart Rivett, direct operations director at W.H. Smith, a QlikTech customer.  "Weekly trading meetings are now discussed with complete knowledge, where before, there was no detail to discuss."

QlikTech is leading a new class of easy to use, fast and flexible business analysis solutions that connects people with information instantly through a simple, easy-to-understand and visually rich experience.   QlikTech's flagship product, QlikView 7, extends the company's vision of simplifying business analysis, offering solutions that can be deployed in days, where users can be trained in minutes, and where end users have the freedom to be more creative in their analyses.

"QlikTech's growth is indicative of a larger trend.  The market is looking for simplicity instead of complexity.  End users want analysis tools that can be deployed in days, are easy to use, and adapt to the needs of the business," said Anthony Deighton, vice president of marketing at QlikTech.  "QlikView puts users in touch with the information they need to be successful at their job. Having the best information to do your job is a right, not a privilege."

The IDC competitive analysis report, "Worldwide Business Intelligence 2004 Vendor Shares" examines the business intelligence market for the 2002-2004 period.  World-wide market sizing, vendor competitive analysis, and revenue and market shares of leading vendors are included in the report.  For more information, or to purchase a copy of the report, visit www.idc.com.
