Inside Info Grows 2009 Revenue Seven Times The Australian Business Intelligence Market

Inside Info achieves 53% revenue growth in Australia with fast payback business intelligence solutions

Sydney, Australia, February 2, 2010 – Inside Info, the Australian business intelligence (BI) specialist, has announced strong company growth during 2009, with a 53% revenue increase on 2008, to outstrip growth of the Australian business intelligence software market forecasted at 7.5%¹ growth.

Inside Info added 30 direct new customers in 2009 bringing its total to over 100 direct clients, including a significant win as part of a competitive tender with Catholic Education Office Sydney.  During 2009, other direct customer additions included QBE, Wrigley Company, CS Energy, Apparel Group, Hagemeyer Brands, Terex Mining and FoodWorks among others.

Growth was driven evenly between new account acquisition and existing client growth mainly out of New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland, with the Sunshine State contributing the highest revenue growth at 72%.
Among industry-based solutions, manufacturing and distribution sectors remain the largest contributors to revenue in 2009, with high growth rates noted in retail, pharmaceutical and financial services.

“Sales to retailers jumped by 90% this year,” said Stuart Barnard, Managing Director of Inside Info.  “We’re helping Australian retailers understand buying behaviour, keeping shelves stacked with the right product at the right price, giving visibility into operations across each store easily.  Retailers can have huge volumes of data with many systems to co-ordinate, we can provide transactional level understanding of that data simply using QlikView.”

The ease-of-use of Inside Info’s QlikView applications and knowledge of how to apply business intelligence fast and well, won through with Inside Info deriving the majority of growth from licenses over service revenues.  This encouraged company investment in a sales office in Victoria and a new sales appointment for 2010.

Inside Info’s QlikView applications were also named among Australia’s 41st most innovative products in the Australian Anthill Smart Company awards.

“Having introduced QlikView in 2003 to become the largest and most experienced QlikView BI provider in Australia, we’re delighted to announce a strong and successful year again,” said Inside Info’s MD Stuart Barnard.  “Analysis of our 2009 performance and market position tells us that upper mid to large organisations still need local, experienced consultants to deliver affordable business intelligence applications that give operational insights and resolve departmental challenges, fast. We’re bullish about our future in 2010.”
