Guest Keynote: Dr Ken Hudson, Founder & Author The Speed Thinking Zone
Dr. Ken Hudson is a pioneer in organisational creativity having developed the Speed Thinking System. In a previous life Ken worked in marketing for many large organisations such as Citibank, Dunlop Slazenger and American Express–where he was Marketing Director. He has also consulted to many of the world’s leading brands (DuPont, Unilever, Heinz, 3M, Ebay and Dell). He is a best-selling author of two books, The Idea Generator and The Idea Accelerator: How to solve problems faster using speed thinking. Whilst running his creative thinking workshops and lecturing at Sydney’s University of Technology, Ken discovered that many participants (or post-graduate students) did their best work when they did it at an express pace. On the back of this discovery, Ken formed The Speed Thinking Zone and has dedicated his business to helping everyone achieve ‘twice as much –in half the time.’ Ken has a PHD in Organisational Creativity (UWS) to sit along with his B. Bus (UTS) and MBA (UNE).
Sandy Antonuccio, Business Information Systems Manager, Amcor.
Working within the IT division, Sandy Antonuccio is currently the Manager of Business Information Systems at global packaging leader Amcor Australasia. Sandy has a strong background in IT and finance, having worked in various roles for Amcor spanning 27 years, currently responsible to support over 500 business intelligence users of multiple BI applications across Amcor Australasia. Sandy has also successfully managed numerous ERP system upgrades and implementations and was critical in managing Amcor’s outsourcing of IT to HP.
Craig Horton, IT Manager, Talent2.
With over 14 years experience in Information Technology Craig has worked with a wide range of organisations including one of the world’s largest insurance brokers, and within telecommunications and financial sector organisations across Europe and Australasia. He has substantial experience in Enterprise Architect and Technical & Development Management roles. Craig has designed and implemented a number of complex eBusiness system architectures, comprising multiple components across heterogeneous server and network infrastructures, typically multi-vendor systems for large-scale user bases. For the past 4 years, his current role is to provide strategic and operational management for Talent2 Optimise Information Technology Group. He is also a key member in Talent2’s Executive Technology board. He is responsible for all IT related work and for building an innovative IT strategy, implementing best practice policy and governance, identifying emerging technologies, and providing IT group leadership.
Tom Docherty, Information Delivery Analyst, Mars
Tom Docherty started working with Mars in 2004 focusing on improving and delivering reporting systems, particularly in the area of matured enterprise transactional systems. Now working as the Information Delivery Analyst for Mars in the Business Intelligence Team, Tom works daily with Mars’ QlikView rollout, bringing the world of Mars business intelligence to a developed, flexible matured state to meet and expand business information needs.
Henrik Been, Executive Director, Product Marketing, QlikTech.
Henrik Been has been with QlikTech for 11 years in a variety of roles. Henrik is currently heading the QlikView product marketing team for QlikTech as the Executive Director of Product Marketing based out of Lund, Sweden. In this current role, Henrik is responsible to define and develop QlikView’s product roadmap working closely with the research and development team.
Sarah Kibble, Senior IT Specialist, Manassen Foods
Working in her current role as Senior IT Specialist for Manassen Foods, Sarah Kibble is responsible for the development and delivery of all business intelligence analysis and reporting systems for Manassen Foods and its Group of six companies. Sarah has had an extensive consulting and IT background working with a variety of organisations within the manufacturing, wholesale and distribution industries, specialising in business intelligence for the last five years of her career. Sarah has worked with many BI systems including QlikView and Microsoft Analysis Services.
Alastair Pearson, Partner, and Kieran Earnshaw, Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers
Alastair Pearson is a Partner in PwC's Performance Improvement Consulting practice, specialising in financial modeling and tactical BI solutions. Alastair helps clients solve complex problems and add value in the areas of: M&A transactions, financial, management and regulatory reporting and business cases. Alastair has over 15 years experience working at PwC with clients across UK, Europe, USA, Asia and Australasia. Alastair works across most market sectors, with particular emphasis on financial services, infrastructure, energy and utilities, and property.
Kieran Earnshaw is a Director in PwC's Performance Improvement Consulting practice with a number of years experience assisting clients to derive value from Information Management tools and capability. He is a current board member of the Australian chapter of The Data Warehouse Institute (TDWI) and has worked with clients across the U.K, Europe and Australia across industries including telecommunications, transport & logistics, energy & utilities, government, financial services and retail.
Phil Langdale, Services Director, Inside Info
Phil Langdale is Services Director and principal consultant at business intelligence specialist Inside Info. Phil has a background in Finance, IT and Supply Chain Management. Over the past decade he has held senior positions in these disciplines in the United Kingdom, USA and Australia. Prior to his current role, Phil was a member of the executive team and held roles of Financial Controller and then Supply Chain Executive for manufacturer Barloworld. He has managed major Enterprise Resource Planning system implementations and specialises in business intelligence and business performance management. Phil’s considerable expertise has been developed across a variety of industries including manufacturing, retail, chemicals, distribution and precious metals. Phil is also a contributing author for industry and IT publications in the area of business intelligence.
