QlikTech and QlikView were honored with two Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards at the Gartner Midsize Enterprise Summit West, a gathering of 300 senior IT executives in September in the USA.
QlikView, QlikTechs award-winning, in-memory business analysis software, won awards for Best Midmarket Software Solution and Best Execution of a Midmarket IT Solution. Senior IT executives attending the Event voted on both awards after seeing QlikView and 49 other solutions demonstrated at the event.
QlikView had also been named Best Midmarket Software Solution at the Gartner Midsize Enterprise Summit East event held in May in Atlanta.
This is the second time this year that attendees at the Midsize Enterprise Summit have recogniSed the importance of the QlikView solution to midsize businesses, said Rick Pitts, president and chief executive officer of QlikTech North America. It shows that operational and technology executives appreciate the need for simpler, more visual analysis to make better decisions. The company also won Best Midmarket Software Solution at the East event in May. QlikTechs revenue growth 78% from 2004 to 2005, and 80% from 2005 to 2006 and customer base of more than 6,300 provided the foundation for more than ten industry awards in 2007.
QlikTechs flagship product, QlikView 8, is built on patented, award-winning, next-generation in-memory associative technology, and allows powerful and visual information analysis and reporting solutions which improve everyday operational decision making. QlikView solutions can be deployed in days and users can be trained in minutes, giving people the freedom to be more accurate and creative in their analyses.
At the event, QlikTech presented with Thomas & King, one of the largest franchisers in the country which owns and operates 90 Applebee's and seven Carion's Restaurants in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Arizona and Pennsylvania. Using QlikView, Thomas & King is able to track revenue in all of their franchises, employee turnover and provide executives with quality reporting quickly.
We didnt have time to implement traditional OLAP tools, said Cynthia Clark, chief information officer of Thomas & King. Our first QlikView dashboard came up in eight working days and delivered immediate value. QlikViews short development cycle has enabled us to be crisp and agile in responding to the needs of the business. QlikViews average implementation time is two weeks, many customers have solutions up in days, and 98% of QlikView implementations are considered successful.
